Chas Emerson was born and raised in Hernando, MS. He attended The University of Mississippi where he earned a BBA degree. He began his financial services career in 2004 as a financial adviser with a Memphisbased firm where he was a registered representative and served as Managing Associate. Chas passed the board exam in 2008 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
Chas formed Independent Planning Group, a financial planning firm, in 2010. IPG has 14 affiliated advisors with offices in Memphis, TN, Hernando, MS, and Oxford, MS. In 2023, he became Co-General Agent of Axiom Planning Resources. Axiom has 100 affiliated advisors and more than 50 staff members spread across Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Kentucky. Chas is married to Jennifer Emerson, and they have four children: Anne Mitchell, Elizabeth, Mills, and Hattie. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, attending Ole Miss sporting events, fishing, and hunting. He is an active member of Christ Covenant Church, where he serves as an Elder.
