A Different Path Forward

Born from real-world experience and a desire for meaningful change, Axiom emerged when Jerry and Chas discovered what many successful advisors eventually realize: there had to be a better way than the traditional model.

“Design your dream financial advisory business with recurring, predictable revenue, unparalleled independence, elite tools, and a network that guarantees you never grow alone.”

Axiom story

Trapped in a Broken System

Straight out of college, Jerry entered financial planning only to discover a fundamental disconnect: while firms promised independent business ownership, the reality was building someone else's equity. Rather than true advising, he found himself primarily selling proprietary products within rigid corporate frameworks.

Compliance policies weren't about protecting clients—they were about controlling data and limiting advisor autonomy. The model created a perpetual hamster wheel: variable commissions, high overhead costs, and an endless cycle of transaction-based business that benefited institutions while leaving advisors constantly chasing the next commission check.

The Turning Point: Breaking Free & Finding a Better Way

In 2010, Jerry resigned from the corporate world and embraced independence. With his own brand, website, and complete ownership of client relationships, he finally escaped the institutional constraints. But independence revealed a new challenge: without scale, he couldn't efficiently deliver the sophisticated planning his clients deserved.

When a medical practice approached him for complex business projections, the limitations became crystal clear. Despite having a thriving practice, he lacked the resources to develop specialized services or invest in advanced planning capabilities. The question emerged: must advisors choose between true independence and operational efficiency?

The Solution: The Birth of Axiom's Hybrid Model

The breakthrough came in 2012 when Jerry pioneered what hadn't existed before—a genuine hybrid that merged independence with scale. Axiom was built around a radical premise: advisors could keep their identity, ownership, and autonomy while participating in something larger than themselves.

Unlike traditional models that added restrictions with resources, Axiom flipped the equation: advisors gained access to specialized planning departments, transition support, and collaborative knowledge-sharing without corporate constraints. The focus shifted from transactional commissions to sustainable recurring revenue through fee-based planning—a model where advisors grew as their clients' assets grew.

The Impact: A Scalable Model for Independent Growth

What began with eight advisors has evolved into a transformative collective of nearly 100 across six states managing over $5 billion. The evidence is in the numbers: while the industry average for recurring revenue is 35%, Axiom's advisors average 95%. They lead nationally in financial plans delivered and fee-based planning revenue. Each affiliated practice builds genuine equity—something advisors can eventually sell or pass down—while maintaining complete independence.

The model proves advisors don't need to sacrifice control for resources. By providing capital investment, specialized planning expertise, and a collaborative community, Axiom creates a path to what every advisor truly seeks: waking up on January 1st knowing all financial obligations are already covered, freeing them to focus on what matters most—their clients and their own quality of life.
